Design Challenge

An entrepreneur came up with an innovative dining concept—offer new chefs a commercial kitchen to practice making food for the public while also providing a new eatery for the community. BOA was brought on to remodel a commercial space on College Avenue into a restaurant space with a fully functional kitchen and festive dining room.

Solution

Open for two years, The Guest Chef was a lively restaurant in the Rockridge neighborhood that gave many aspiring chefs a place to explore their culinary careers and many patrons a restaurant with an unexpected menu. BOA designed the space to be accessible to multiple cuisine types while still providing a comfortable atmosphere for dining.
